Langkawi

Langkawi is a perfect destination to relax for a couple of days in West Malaysia. Nicknamed “the Jewel of Kedah”, it is the largest and most popular island in the archipelago that is made up of 99 islands and is home to beautiful white beaches, turquoise bays, gorgeous waterfalls, and wild natural parks. According to the folklore, the name of the island comes from two Malay words- ‘helang’ which means eagle and ‘kawi’ means reddish brown. Hence, the name Lang-kawi.

Cameron Highlands

A different side of Malaysia can be found in Cameron Highlands. There are no beaches, tall buildings, or hot and humid weather here. The highlands are close to being in the English countryside with houses built in an English style, surrounded by green hills and a cooler climate.

Phang-nga

Phang-nga is located at the north side of Phuket, covering an area of 4,170 sq kilometers. The province’s main attractions stem primarily from its geological formations and have an extraordinary number of islands, caves, and rocky outcrops. Its most notable landmarks are the national marine parks of Ao Phang-nga, Mu Ko Similan, and Mu Ko Surin.
